About
Once upon a time, there was a girl who found herself wandering through the craft section of a Walmart one evening. To this day, she vividly remembers stumbling upon a package of small white roses that were about the size of a dime. The display offered several color options of these flowers, so she went home with a few, having decided that they would make lovely earrings once she got around to it.
That same girl, armed with a glue gun and an ounce of creativity, assembled these paper flowers into simple earrings, attaching the roses to a metal post and went about her life.
Soon enough, her co-workers began commenting on the cute earrings and asking where they could purchase a pair. This crafty girl began selling her extra stock to anyone who admired the earrings and before the year’s end she had a little side-hustle.
That girl’s name is Ashley and she originally called her earring start-up: Faith & Hope & Love, and has since updated the brand’s name to: Color by Spectra.
The Brand
ColorbySpectra is a Florida based accessory brand specializing in mulberry paper earrings. The delicate mulberry paper is handcrafted in Thailand, and the earrings are assembled here in the ole’ U.S. of A. It is our pleasure to provide a range of color choices, in mulberry paper and a few other styles as the brand expanded. This offers our customers a wide variety of options for adding fun, color themed earrings into their daily routine.
Along with a basic color palette, ColorbySpectra is working to provide earring options based on tonal themes showcasing school colors, sports teams, and the bridal industry.
